Luna sat alone under a big tree. Forest school was new. She felt scared. Other animals played and laughed. Luna hid behind her long ears. Then a small voice said, “Hi! I am Mia. Do you want to play?” Luna’s heart beat fast.

Luna wanted to say yes. But she felt shy. Mia smiled and held out her paw. “We can go slow,” Mia said. They walked to the pond. They watched fish jump. They shared berries. Luna laughed out loud. It felt so good to laugh.

The next day, Luna saw a new bird sitting alone. The bird looked scared. Luna walked over. “Hi! I am Luna. Do you want to play?” The bird smiled big. Now Luna had two friends. Being brave felt wonderful. Luna was not shy anymore.
